Harkins is pleased to announce the opening of our new office in Raleigh-Durham, a geographic expansion that reflects our company’s continued growth into the Triangle region. The new office, located at 600 Park Offices Drive in Research Triangle Park (RTP), will further enhance relationships with clients, architects, and trade partners in the region.
Harkins initially expanded into North Carolina in 2018, establishing a presence in the greater Charlotte market with the opening of an office and start of its first project in Mecklenburg County. The Charlotte office has grown substantially and now supports a team of 50 professionals across the Carolinas and $275 million of construction currently in-progress or complete. We are excited to make the additional investment to have a dedicated location in Raleigh-Durham to support further expansion in the Carolinas, with a special focus on the Triangle region. Long-time employee-owner, Project Manager Patrick Fay, will be the face the company’s operations in the Raleigh-Durham market. Vice President Josh Zilke will support Patrick’s leadership of the Raleigh-Durham team.
The Raleigh-Durham team currently has one project named Altitude that is under construction and partially open, anticipating final completion in the fall. Altitude is located just off of I-40 south of Raleigh and is a 118-unit market rate community featuring studio, one-, and two-bedroom homes with a resident clubhouse and lounge, poolside sundeck, fitness center, and yoga studio. Also this fall, the team expects to break ground on Arden at Summit Pines, a 156-unit senior living community located in Apex. This age-restricted community will provide residents with convenient accessibility to the city’s nearby shopping and dining experiences.
We look forward to developing the Raleigh-Durham region into a flourishing part of our Southeastern expansion. Please reach out to either Vice President Josh Zilke, Business Development Associate Peter Moody, or Project Manager Patrick Fay if you have a project in this region to discuss.
