Harkins Welcomes Students for Job Shadow Day
Baltimore, MD
On April 10th, we hosted an incredible group of students for Junior Achievement of Central Maryland Job Shadow Day, giving them a real-world look into the construction industry.
The day began with a site visit to our Miller’s Grant Phase II project in Ellicott City, led by Lead Superintendent Chuck Leftridge. During the tour, students learned how a project comes together and the effort behind every phase.
After the site tour, we returned to our Columbia office for lunch and a panel discussion with Harkins team members Amani Coleman, Ben Nichols, Joe Humm, Mike Lynn, Todd Souder, and Trey Bates. The conversation, moderated by Stephany Coates, gave students insight into various roles across the construction industry and the educational paths to get there.
Thank you to our incredible team members for volunteering their time and expertise and the Junior Achievement of Central Maryland for connecting students to valuable career and industry opportunities.
