Hollins House

Hollins House is a nine-story highrise in Baltimore’s Hollins Market neighborhood, providing housing for seniors aged 62+ and individuals with disabilities. The occupied renovation was completed in two phases and included comprehensive upgrades to 130 one-bedroom apartments. Each unit received new flooring, doors, paint, fan coil units, electrical and plumbing improvements, and fully updated kitchens with new appliances, cabinets, and countertops.

Exterior and common area improvements included brick restoration, a new TPO roof overlay, and the enclosure of outdoor balconies to expand interior living space. Interior upgrades featured new acoustical ceiling tiles in the entryway, office, and common areas, a reconstructed first-floor office, and an expanded community room with a library and game room. On-site amenities include secured access, a gym, library with computers and free internet, and a covered patio with a tranquil water fountain. Site enhancements also added new landscaping, a pergola, and a water wall feature. The project was funded through HUD’s Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) program.
