Howard County Courthouse Garage

The Howard County Courthouse project replaced a historic 175-year-old building with a modern, state-of-the-art 238,000 sf facility designed to meet the county’s growing needs. This new courthouse includes the Circuit Court and office spaces for the Howard County State’s Attorney, Sheriff, Bar Association, Public Defender, Clerk of the Court, and Register of Wills, along with a courtroom for a sixth judge and an expanded jury assembly area.

Adjacent to the courthouse, a six-story, 150,970 sf parking garage provides 691 parking spaces and features three high-speed elevators, advanced security lighting, and a glass atrium that complement the courthouse’s architectural design. This modern courthouse integrates innovative design and functionality, providing a contemporary and accessible space for the county’s judicial needs.
