Harkins Celebrates the Grand Opening of Allium Place
Silver Spring, MD
On Thursday, June 26th, Harkins joined AHC, Habitat for Humanity, Bonstra | Haresign Architects, and other project partners to celebrate the grand opening of Allium Place with a ribbon cutting ceremony in Silver Spring, MD.
This six-acre affordable housing community features eight multifamily buildings with 192 units and over 10,770 sf of community space. Amenities include management offices, library, lounge, fitness center, and mail room, along with outdoor areas like a large patio courtyard, lawns, and a playground.
Allium Place is the largest new construction, affordable development of its kind in Montgomery County. A majority of the units are set aside for 50% AMI or less, and residents are supported with access to public transport, onsite resident services programming, and childcare.
