Harkins Celebrates the Grand Opening of Nathaniel J. McFadden Learn and Play Park

On Monday, June 22nd, Harkins joined The Henson Development Company, Mission First Housing Group, Housing Authority of Baltimore City, MK Consulting Engineering, and other project partners to celebrate the grand opening of Nathaniel J. McFadden Learn and Play Park with a ribbon cutting ceremony in Baltimore, MD.
Nathaniel J. McFadden Learn and Play Park is a 1.2-acre community park located in the heart of the Somerset Redevelopment. The park features a central green space framed by two play areas, adult fitness equipment, and a pavilion with an event space for community gatherings. Its jazz-inspired theme honors Baltimore’s legendary musicians, highlighted by the interactive “Jazz Walk” that shares their stories. Designed by local artists, the park also includes art installations and a gateway monument. Maintained by the Baltimore City Recreation and Parks Department, the park serves as a vibrant oasis for Somerset residents.
