Harkins Sponsors ULI Etkin Scholars Program
Baltimore, MD
Through the Harkins Foundation, we are excited to announce our commitment as the local sponsor for the ULI Baltimore Etkin Scholars Program for the 2025 to 2027 program years. This new, dedicated local scholarship mirrors the successful national program run by the Urban Land Institute (ULI), a global network of professionals in every sector of real estate development and land use, with a mission to shape the future of the built environment for transformative impact in communities worldwide.
The program begins with the selection of a cohort of students by the ULI District Councils. The students are equipped with essential resources, including a complimentary ULI student membership, tailored programming, along with access to networking and professional learning opportunities. Locally, these students, known as Etkin Scholars, have been selected from institutions such as Bowie State University, Morgan State University, Johns Hopkins University, Loyola University Maryland, University of Maryland Baltimore County, Towson University, and the University of Baltimore. While not necessary, the program is an ideal fit for students who are studying or actively pursuing a career in commercial real estate or related fields like construction, finance, architecture, planning, or urban design.
Harkins is proud to be a part of ULI’s impact, encouraging the next generation to thrive and become the leaders who shape our future communities.
